2つの音叉と1つの正弦波発振器による:熱交換の場としての時空間の分布
a study case of space-time distribution as a field of thermal exchange: by using two tuning forks and a sine-wave oscillator
1999 Mar , the performance at the first time at at WENZ Gallery, Tokyo was played with Ami Yoshida.
Idea of 'space-time' is valued to measure an event. On the other point of view, we suppose 'space-time' is a concept of scale to be articulated by the event. My intention is to somehow manifest a relationship between space-time and thermo event. So this piece is thought a practical way as trial steps.
Preparing two tuning forks on different temperature as initial condition, one kept cooling in a freezer and the other was left in the room temperature, the purpose of the initial condition is to make up two different temperature spaces at the middle spaces of each forks. At the performance space, one fork which had been left in the room temperature is heating by a spotlight, the other fork which had been in a freeze puts in the room temperature. The performance space, and two middle spaces of the each forks, the thermal exchange will happen between the three spaces. This performance is to observe some aspects of the thermal exchange through sounds and the beating.
The idea of this performance expanded and became to my installation and performance pieces 'Thermal Acoustics' and so on on later.
